Miika (OH2BAD)

Message from Miika, OH2BAD and XYL Raili:

Recovering from the annual Finnish SRAL national Field Day is always a big challenge. This year (2019) we were 857 people present at OH3W, trying to remember faces and connect them with names and voices. In 58 years of active participation it has become almost a stress and you deserve a total relaxation after such a week-end! 

This realized when we arrived at OH73ELK for a 5-day visit in mid-July. Our hosts, Alex and Raisa, were waiting for us with warm smile and dinner. It was like returning to home, so peaceful and calm. As persons they are captivating, modest and easy to co-operate.I have been operating from many rental stations, mostly DX, and OH73ELK is second to none.

Alex and Raisa keep  the place clean and tidy, yet natural. The station is efficient and manuals to operate (in English) are easy to follow. And they want to improve this all the time. 

Outdoors the Finnish wilderness is at its best. Easy walking easy being. XYL Raili was happy to pick up blueberries. No fishing was tried but there they are, we can assure you. And every method is available for making your own menu.
