Unplanned contest at OH73ELK Shack

During my roadtrip in Finland in July 2023, there was a mandatory stop that I had planned, OH73ELK!
What an amazing experience ! These few days in ELK has been beyond my expectations. Living here in the middle of nature, in this sublime environment, was pure happiness. I really enjoyed it.
And of course the ELK radio shack with its sublime antennas. Very hard to resist making radio in these conditions ! After few QSOs, I realized that the bands was

very active, and for good reason: the IARU HF World Championship 2023 had just begun! Perfect opportunity, I started two days contest with the callsign OH73ELK! (622 QSOs).
Beyond this incredible souvenir with this unplanned contest, I had a wonderful time in this beautiful and peaceful place.
I won't forget my stay in ELK. I can't stop talking about it to my friends (even non hamradio) and I hope to come back again one day.
A huge thank you to Raisa & Alex for their hospitality, kindness and availability. You've made my trip to Finland so special, a wonderful souvenir.
